SAP

A custom system beside the corporate ERP, with no duplicated master data.

SAP

In a company running SAP, the problem is rarely a lack of software — it is that whatever SAP does not cover ends up as a spreadsheet on the side. Nivrix builds that specific piece and connects it to the ERP, instead of creating a second parallel set of records.

What gets synced

  • Master data

Materials, customers and vendors come from SAP and are mirrored in the custom system. The ERP stays in charge; the new system reads and references.

  • Orders and documents

What is created in the custom system becomes a document in SAP through the agreed interface, with the returned number stored on both sides for traceability.

  • Stock and movements

Balances per plant and relevant movements arrive at whatever frequency the operation needs — from minutes to a nightly batch, depending on volume.

  • Financial entries

When the scope includes finance, entries reach SAP already in the format accounting expects, with no manual re-keying.

How the integration is built

  1. Survey the available interface

Every SAP installation exposes different paths. The first step is finding out what exists in your environment and what the SAP team authorizes using.

  2. Field-by-field mapping

Every field in the new system gets a declared source, destination and conversion rule. That document is what keeps the integration from becoming a black box.

  3. Staging with real data

The load runs first in a test environment, with real data, and you sign off before anything touches production.

Questions about this integration

Does SAP itself have to be modified?

The build happens on the Nivrix side. What we ask of the SAP team is access to the interface and validation of the mapping — not customization inside the ERP, unless your team decides that is the better route.

What if SAP is unavailable?

Syncing is queued. The system keeps operating and pending items are reprocessed when the connection returns, with a record of what was left behind.
